John Monash — engineer, lawyer, leader of men, and WWI military leader, who introduced engineering and science into military strategy, thereby achieving significant victories which turned the course of the awful war.

As ANZAC Day and the centenary of the Gallipoli landing approach it is timely to look at the role of Australians and their achievements.
